Inspired by this thread I've had the idea to start a thread where we list synths that make no compromises whatsoever as far as cpu consumption goes, but sound awesome for that very reason. Some synths that come to mind are:
Diva
Lush-101
Spire (pre-1.1 versions)
MPowerSynth

Do you know any other good ones?

You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Reaktor

I wouldnt say Spire is a synth that uses alot of cpu. I think certain modules use alot of it (or modulation). But if just playing oscillators alone even with unison it doesnt take much of cpu at all.

Reaktor by itself it's not CPU hungry, depends a lot of the synth that you're using.

Reaktor. Can't understand that thing at all

"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Roland system 1 and system 100 (They even have high cpu usage just by adding them in before even playing a note).

Diversion and Aalto.

Matrix 12V is pretty good. Dropping down the octaves many synth can start to sound distorted, this one on the other hand gives a deep fat smooth tone then :tu:

Largo uses a fair amount of CPU power with pad sounds, Spire of course, Z3TA can take some CPU too.

Serum

Some patches of Xils 4 & (mini)Syn'X can use a lot of CPU too

Also, Mangle - when samples are spawned fast and in large numbers.
