You don't have to "buy it", but that IS the fact. I checked with developers. It's graphics, as well as OpenGL related stuff, etc.

Wasn't all this one big test NI performed? To see how compatible and accepted their new GUIs would be?

Totally couldn't find this for some reason. This is great to know.

Also a little tip on that search download page from NI: search for a space only.
You will get all updates as result. Too bad it's not paginated.

Quite a bunch of NI products are not listed in the database, including some previous freebies like Skanner and Driver.
