Firo (formerly Fiddlewax Pro) is free till the end of July

It's a one screen, multi-track music sketchpad type thing, with MIDI out. It can also import Soundfonts and has pitch detection.

Except you get a $20 app free... With more than enough gear and functionality in it and optional IAP if you so desire. The Recorder or Recorder/Studio bundle are the only IAPs available and if you use other apps for recording via Audiobus or IAA and don't need these, then the funny thing is that you don't have to buy them.

energyXT for iPhone is now free.

NB: It's crashed on me a couple of times but looks nice for simple stuff.

EDIT: I really like Tin Pan Rhythm, it just needs custom parts and MIDI to be near perfect.
