And it is already, sorely missed. What a synthesizer, with so many functions. It truly was like a Swiss army knife of synthesizers.

All I can do is hope for something good (or better...might be too much to dream for) out of the Camel/Apple merger.
Ha ha suck it!

You can probably still pick up a license second hand.

Just bought Sami's account a little over a week ago, best 100 US I ever spent!

Alchemy works rock solid on my Win 7 64 bit setup.

As such I expect to be able to use it for several years still.

I backed EVERYTHING up!!!

I've put it on a cloud, on my USB, on my girl's computer, I went completely obsessive on that deal. It's too good a synth for me not to back up properly imo.

So did you get any soundsets included in the deal?

Taste of Camel. To be honest, I haven't heard many presets that come anywhere near to showing what you can do with Alchemy. It's capable of seriously evolving patches. I've been working with both Largo and Alchemy toward making more complex sounds. They both provide inspiration for days on end imo.

True, I used Alchemy Player for a long time, but getting Alchemy full version, opens up new horizons of possibilities.

Yes! This will sound corny, but I was literally bummed out when Camel closed up and all I had was the player. I was a happy dude when Sami offered to sell me his account. Tons of modulation capabilities...

oh hell, I was digging deeper into PPG Wave 3, but now you've got me itching to open Alchemy lol!
Ha ha suck it!

Have you got Simon's soundbanks?

The Patchpool ones.

Junkie XL is pretty good but the Patchpool ones are state of the art.

+1 on patchpool, particularly due to his large samples and Notes freely downloadable on his website.

FYI there are other 3rd party soundsets (below) plus Groove3 tutorial ($15/mo streaming) plus CA tuts on YouTube, plus free libs in kvr database.
