This may sound like a strange request!!!
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way of playing drum sounds using foot pads whilst playing guitar.
I am aware of foot stompers which have a piezo pick-up. What I am looking for is a pad or pads where I can play drums within my DAW. I don't mean starting and stopping drum patterns using the pads. I am looking to actually play the drum sounds with my feet whilst playing the guitar. Any suggestions ideas much appreciated.:)

Could you buy parts of an electronic drum kit? Bass drum and a foot trigger for a snare maybe?

They seem to be fresh out of cymbals for between the knees.

Thanks for the suggestions. Midi bass pedals definitely seem too expensive. That Alesis may be a possibilty I will have to investigate further. Parts of an electronic kit would be another possibility but also pretty expensive. I really just want a couple of foot pedals or pads that I could trigger say a kick and snare or kick and hi-hat in my DAW with.
Cheers for the input guys :)

You could always put a yamaha DD on the floor.

I'm not hip on all their models. I believe some have midi out (for different/better kits) While the cheapest / oldest cheapest models don't

Might be worth a try, I wonder if the pads would be robust enough for being stomped on though?

Behringer FCB-1010 --> MidiYoke / MidiOx which changes the midi PgmChg to NoteOn commands

DIY might be your best (ie cheapest) route.

Say via Arduino

or a Makey-Makey

There's also the option of hacking a usb keypad/keyboard etc
