Hey guys, I have an AKAI MPK49. It is installed and shows up as a selectable MIDI input in Reaper. I have my synth loaded up on a track, when I press a note on the virtual keyboard on the Synth GUI it makes sound. BUt I cant get it to respond to keys from my MIDI keyboard. This is for any synth I load.

a) Make sure the midi controller is configured in Reaper. (Audio-Midi-Settings)
b) Make sure your synth is set to "record armed" (knob at the left side on the synth's track panel must be in red).
c) Make sure the Midi-Routing for the track is correct. This is done automatically when you add a track via
"Insert - virtual instrument on new track" from Reaper menu.

load up a simple vst host like savihost to make sure you are even transmitting midi at all.
might be simple controller mode setting, local on, off omni , poly etc...
