Just received my Linnstrument this afternoon. Super excited! Thank you, Roger, for the handwritten note. A nice touch!

This is me noodling on a modified Bazille preset. Linnstrument is great so far -- easy to set up with Bazille and fairly intuitive to understand.

Apologies for the errors in playing and low quality, I'll do better next time. :)

Already I'm using some really cool features like --
Multiple pitch bends -- at different rates and in different directions!!
Lower strip variable function, including arps at different rates
Can double as Midi CC sliders
Easy access to sustain and arpeggios
Midi sync
Logical lighting layout, showing you useful notes and scales.

Cons so far:
Doesn't work well with most synths
A bit heavy and large
the buttons are small, which makes it hard to control Y axis properly
It is a performance instrument -- so takes some practice!

I got my instrument yesterday afternoon as well. :) Yes, it's going to take a bit of practice to get it entirely down.

I had no problem with the size personally (good compromise between portability and playability I think) and I think it will work eventually work okay with many synths. However, it's very true that most *presets* are optimized for keyboard type controls. Many of the Diva presets I loaded needed some significant routing changes to work sort of okay. I'm going to need to play with the settings to figure out what works best. Perhaps something with more modularability (like Zebra) will be better for this synth.

I do also have one solo string sample library (Embertone) that has some decent control mappings (including pitch bend), I'll try testing that when I next get a chance. (I was honestly wanting to use this more for synthetic type sounds though. :) )

Congrats on the new Linnstrument -- fun so far, right?

This morning I loaded up a free sitar patch and recorded audio properly, through REAPER -- considering this is a 4MB sample in Kontakt, impressive results.

And here's today's addition to the batch. A Wavelore Pedal Steel Guitar sample library. This one was a match made in heaven.
