Congratulations and a big thank you for this 1.08 PD release!
@btw: thank you for your serial/parallel request -> this gives indeed a lot of options for creative effects or even EQ-ing
@andy: thanks for implementing this so quickly!

Further aspect to the pad bug I posted about earlier:
- insert an instance of The Drop
- set pad to -12db (as of v1.0.8 this setting will take effect even when audio hasn't passed thru the plugin yet)
- copy this instance to another track
- pad button will be set to -12db on the GUI, but playing audio thru this instance at this point shows that the pad setting is actually 0db... you have to manually cycle back thru to -12 for the setting to take effect

Great, thanks for spotting this! It is probably related to defaulting all the values to clear the parallel to serial for old presets, but then this would also clear the pad back to 0dB.mustgroove wrote:Further aspect to the pad bug I posted about earlier:

Any updates on if/when The Drop will be AAX? Would really love to use it in PT11. Thanks.

I recently posted out a newsletter with this to say, nothing more to add to other than to say the new copy protection system has now proved itself to be solid, so the way ahead is clear.jackson881 wrote:Any updates on if/when The Drop will be AAX? Would really love to use it in PT11. Thanks.
= AAX and VST3 on the way
========================================================
With development of The Drop now complete it is time to turn our attention to adding much requested support for the AAX and VST3 plugin formats. These will both be available early in the new year as a free update to all customers.

On the One Sided Tranny audio demo, that pad sound is fabulous. Is the modulation on that from Symplant or the Drop? It's so Boards of Canada, it makes me want to spend money on it instantly

There is only a single instance of The Drop which was on the master output, so I'm pretty sure the warble you are talking about is an LFO changing the pitch on Synplant. There is also some subtle reverb from Valhalla Room (on a send), you can grab both presets here: www.cytomic.com/files/one-sided-tranny-pad.zipHeartfeltdawn wrote:http://www.cytomic.com/drop

From what I've heard Boards of Canada use on old slightly broken tape machine to do their warbly sound, it adds pitch variation, hiss, and drive all in one.

You're welcome! Thanks for the compliment on the sound, I took a stock preset and tried to make it more "boards of canada", so not some huge swirling pad, just some background cool sounding warble. It only took a second of tweaking inside the DNA section of Synplant to get exactly what I was after, so please check it out since it can take you out of your regular workflow and aid in inspirationHeartfeltdawn wrote:Thanks for thatandy-cytomic wrote: There is only a single instance of The Drop which was on the master output, so I'm pretty sure the warble you are talking about is an LFO changing the pitch on Synplant. The Drop does not respond directly to MIDI controllers (yet), only Note on / off, and FL Studio may always filter out aftertouch so The Drop may never get sent those messages anyway. I recommend using FL Studio's MIDI learn functionality to map aftertouch to filter cutoff on The Drop: https://www.image-line.com/support/FLHe ... inking.htmcamsr wrote:How can I set MIDI aftertouch on my Akai MPD32 to control the filter cutoff, using FL Studio?

I'm not sure I understand what your question, but I'll try to answer as best I can. If the MPD sends note on messages then The Drop will respond to them. If it varies the velocity you can also map velocity to filter cutoff using the envelopes in LAG mode with MIDI as the source.camsr wrote:The MPD has a retrigger feature which can be synced to tempo, could retrigger work also?
Just asking because I don't have it hooked up right now.
