Soundcloud embedding into forum post?

Any problems with the site? How can we improve KVR?

Hi,

I tried to embed a soundcloud song into one post using 1. just the url and the the url wrapped into "{URL}...{/URL}". But both do not seem to work, I cannot see the inline soundcloud player. I already have nearly 40 posts, so this can't be the reason...

Any ideas? thanks!

Never tried it myself, but could it be that you have a "https" instead of "http" before the link? Try http, if so.

I edited the s out for him, just to see if that's the trouble.
Oddly, it seems none of the soundcloud links are embedding. I don't know if Ben has monkeyed with things, or not...

Yeah I quoted you to see if the player shows up, but it didn't.

Hey thanks for your investigations.

Do I have to allow "app playback" in soundcloud's access options maybe?

I didn't need to.

Seems to work ok for me ...
really? the soundcloud player? what you've posted shows as just a link to me.
edit - must be a browser thing, the player shows up in Chrome.

https://soundcloud.com/greghooper/after ... ed-he-went

and works for me - just put in the link and nothing tricky as far as something around the code. The last time I put something on KVR it did not work for me at all, so something has changed somehwere

Is that track set to "Private" on SoundCloud Basic Info tab in the track settings?

No, to "public"

as I said, must be a browser thing. It works for me in Chrome, but not Firefox.
edit - I just checked your synth-pop thread in Chrome and it's still not working (although the links in this thread are)
I have no idea.
