Spectrophilia - Cold/Minimal Synth / Post-Punk tips, anyone?

Hello all. I'm working on a track right now called "Wanderlust." I'm using Repear as a DAW, a TAL vst as the main synth, a guitar plugged directly into my Lexicon Alpha, and then using a virtual amp/chorus/delay which is built into the reaper software.
I'm thinking of buying an analog synth (probably a Juno-6) instead of using vst's.
For the guitar, is using a POD pas·sé? I've heard from many people that it generates a bland one-dimmensional sound, but because of my apartment, recording silently is the only option.
I used a vst for the drum beats, and will be replacing it with my DR-3. Have any of you used this machine?

Also, in general, any tips / feedback would be greatly appeciated. ^_^

hi Linn, i got a kind of 80's new wave berlin "the metro" vibe off of this. which i like alot
the melody is strong but the mixing could use some work, for example the drums sound distant and lacking punch. there is very little
if any, bass going on to balance out the frequency spectrum. the sound works as a "lo-fi" live band recording with a little maximizing of over all volume, but for that polished pro sound. yeah. drums and bass work and a stereo enhancer on the synths and guitar. rock on!

Yes!!!
I love the 80's I'm very influenced by the early New Wave bands, but also the Neue Deutsche Welle artists like Malaria! Xmal Deutschland, and Post-Punk artists like Asylum Party, Opera De Nuit, Joy Division, etc.
That old school analog synth paired with chorused/verbed, mostly clean, guitars is my favorite sound ^_^
