Is it just me or are Native Instruments focusing more on releasing "Easy to use" stuff now rather than rolling out innovative new products like they used to?
I don't want them to start becoming the next propellerhead.

So I'm guessing that this is Komplete 10 and not Komplete 10 Ultimate so do you reckon they've got more new stuff that they'll include with K10U?tonkatodd wrote:

I would say the last few Reaktor releases have been some of the most innovative ensembles made - particularly Prism, Razor and MolekularV0RT3X wrote:Is it just me or are Native Instruments focusing more on releasing "Easy to use" stuff now rather than rolling out innovative new products like they used to?

NI ditched Pro5 years ago and Arturia offers Prophet V - if NI wanted break into the market again using the same solution from Reaktor based MONARK it would most likely kill most users CPU. MONARK is monophonic and Prophet 5 would need x5 more calculation power - unless they make a ground breaking algorithms for zero delay filters. For that to happen I expect Reaktor 6 is needed. And Reaktor 6 seem not to be included in this release.V0RT3X wrote:I was really hoping for a Prophet 5 emulation.

Yeah, the keyboards are a real missed opportunity. Like others, was hoping for far more instant control and, er, without a keyboard.
As for Komplete itself, hard to know what those new products are exactly, so hard to form any early judgement. I'm guessing Ultimate will be that lot, plus all the other new NI libraries released over the past couple of years.

So I guess Ultimate will have Supercharger GT, Molekular, Session horns Pro, Rise&Hit, Action Strikes, Kinetic Metal & Cuba over the normal Komplete?
Since normal Komplete 'only' has Drumlab, Session Horns, Supercharger and Driver of the now available products.
I'm curious how non NI plugins integrate into the keyboard. I guess the way how it goes in Maschine now but wondering if they will provide a 'loader' or Automap construction.

Yeah, I'm hoping that the standard version includes Molekular and the Classic Reverbs. Not that I need any more reverbs, but I've always like the sound/look of them.MillerSam wrote:No Molekular in the standard version will be not nice -.-

It seems pretty funny the way NI is nixing all references to these products on their forums and even pages on Gearslutz that i have open here can't be reloaded - not sure if their tentacles reach that far. Surely the pre-release gossip is all valuable marketing - they don't ave to go all "steve jobs" on everybody's ass do they?

I thought they hinted that we'd see something new with synths in that recent Keynote interview?Pianos and a sampler(?)+2 effects that looks like they're Reaktor-based
edit: looks like Rounds is a synth.

I interpreted that as a new hardware controller for the synths, not new synths themselves. That appears to be the Kontrol series, and pretty disappointing they look too.loungepanda wrote:I thought they hinted that we'd see something new with synths in that recent Keynote interview?
