Thanks for all replies guys.
I decided that I will go with SampleTank 3.
I have a question though. This plugin isn't like Kontakt, right? I mean, you can't load additional libraries, I can't really find any 3rd parties doing so. This is kind of ROMpler like Nexus right? To be honest that's ok with me since library is so big, just want to know

On the 2.5 version you can import, wave, aif, akai sounds.
I see no mention of that in the version 3 specifications.
look also at Independence, for certain sounds i find it better than Sampletank (drums, acoustic guitars, sax, trumpet, double bass)

We will have more expansions ourselves and will work with third parties too. SampleTank 3 hasn't been out that long so there will be content coming for it.ssl4000 wrote:Thanks for all replies guys.

Yep. You can't import sounds. It's a rompler. IK will sell you sounds. You are stuck with their offerings. Kontakt is obviously a much better platform. Halion is as well.bedjka wrote:On the 2.5 version you can import, wave, aif, akai sounds.

I have independence and Pro ST3. If i had to choose 1 it would be Independence. They have a smattering of Kirk Hunter Pop Rock Strings. The categories mentioned above are good. Piano One (free) fast could replace the piano if not suitable. The platform is mature. You c
an import wav and sfz, at least, even if there are no 3rd party sounds availabe.
The OP should try Independence Free.
