I just released a relatively simple iOS analog synth and I just wanted to point out my website and iTunes Store link. It's a work in progress, although it is a paid app at $3.99. The general idea behind my app and future plans is to offer up a highly configurable synth programming environment, which can be used to expand and customize this app's running instance. Ultimately, there will be a hardware project, as well, to be announced.

For now, the app is at a starting point and I priced it as a one-time buy for the current features + future MIDI, fourth and fifth oscillators, arpeggiators, sequencers, and compatibility with apps like Audiobus. I'd love your input along the way.

Please give it a try! The links to the website and the iTunes Store location are below:

Based on the site poll and comments over at the Audiobus forum, I am proceeding with work on virtual, real, inter-app, etc. MIDI capability. I estimate that this effort will take me 2 weeks to one month (this is not my day job).

Again, head on over to:

Based on click statistics for the demos, as well as click statics for the iTunes Store,
50% of those viewing the demo are interested in purchasing the app. It's a fun one.

An update:

Version 1.1 is set to be released within the next few days. The entirety of the UI has been redesigned, Audiobus functionality has been added, presets will be available, and several fixes will be provided. It's a 100% improved app, with more to come.

Thanks,
Chris Anderson

Version 1.1 just released today. The interface is greatly improved and slight improvements were made in the sound generation and control. Oh, yeah, and the app now includes Audiobus functionality. I've tested it with Garageband and some effects modules. It's fun.The app is on sale for $1.99 until at least June 13th.

Mr Anderson!
Very cool instrument.
Thank you!
I'm glad to read that you are planing to implement MIDI, and I hope you will also consider adding IAA node functionality.
Thanks again and greetings from Echo Park, CA.

Hi Littlewoodg,

Thank you very much! It's a simple and fun synth to be sure.

Version 1.2 is out today. MIDI hardware keyboards are now supported with deeper/virtual MIDI support on the way (I do not believe the synth will currently work with apps like Jack or the MIDIbus library). I will look at proper inter-app audio soon, as well. The synth currently has only Audiobus support (the implementation of which here still needs a receive interface). I added a sine oscillator as well as a configurable arbitrary oscillator engine. The UI saw a facelift too. Thanks, again, for the input!
