Audio Damage removed their DRM

VST, AU, AAX, CLAP, etc. Plugin Virtual Effects Discussion

What kind of bug was being caused by serial # protection? I never had a problem with it, but appreciate protection free products anyway.

Examples of draconian DRM are those Steam Powered Videogames and what IK Multimedia is doing with Customshop. That kind of harassment has no place is a professional DAW environment.

Steam is a platform. Its DRM is a side effect. I've an account and I've bought a bunch of games through it. Satisfied for the most part. The DRM aspect is 100% transparent to me. Unlike music software DRM.

DRM Removal Machine!
As many of you know, we are removing the DRM from our product line, because it causes support headaches, and punishes customers that have purchased our products, while doing little to alleviate piracy. Many of the most popular products have already received this treatment, and during the course of the year, we will be updating our entire product line to do outstanding bug fixes and remove the DRM from the installers. Keep an eye on the Audio Damage RSS Feed to be informed as each product is updated.

I've stopped buying things (because I'm dirt effin' poor), but I've always admired Audio Damage's public image and customer treatment (what I've seen here through others commenting about it), and their prices have always been reasonable... This latest announcement makes me feel like buying some AU plugs from them just to reward them :-)

Same here, I picked up a bunch of plugins in their sale. Really enjoying Phosphor, Bigseq2, Ricochet, Ratshack Reverb... But all of their plugins are unique, sound good and are fun to use.

Ricochet in particular really makes setting up rhythmic multitaps easy and fun. I'm suprised I've never seen this kind of grid layout before in a delay.

I just installed BigSeq2, and I had to insert the serial during installation or the next button stayed grayed out.

:o

Didn't you read all these threads about "I couldn't get any support from Audio Damage"? There have been many complaints in the previous months...

And then, keep in mind that they're removing DRM because the customer support is too much work for them...

So, how long can you stay offline and keep playing the games?

or of course logic delay designer which was the first of these (well, to be technical, waves supertap was, but delay designer was the first powerful one)

According to their RSS feed, copy protection has been removed from these products:
  • Discord3
  • Dubstation
  • Eos
  • Fluid
  • Liquid
  • Ratshack Reverb
  • Replicant
  • Tattoo
So apparently BigSeq2 is still on their TODO list.

Why am I turning into an Audio Damage customer support representative? :dog:

The next Audio Damage plugin is a synth. No details as yet though, just a cryptic soundcloud teaser:

I didn't have to put a serial code in to install or run Tattoo, so I assumed they meant that

First delay I can remember with that style of UI was Blueline Multitap, I believe, circa 2001. Surprised there haven't been more, its quite an intuitive way to present a multitap delay.
