Hello there!
This is a vocoder I created to create the most realistic voice effects I could.

Some like it (I do), some less.
You can listen to songs created with on that page :

interesting but MAC only.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I'm intrigued, but I wish there were a demo (unless I'm missing it somewhere).
But equally important: is it 64bit for use in Logic X? I see it's Mac AU, but (again, unless I'm missing it) it doesn't specify 32- or 64 bit.
Also, hueynym, especially given the lack of a demo, I'd be interested in your thoughts once you've had a chance to test it out, if possible.

i dunno the demo is very un-impressive I can't make out anything the voice is saying all i hear is like a synth lead thru a distortion and flanger
If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So.

VoxUnit, as any AudioUnit, is compiled with the "universal 32bits/64bites intel" process. Elsewhere, MacOS refuses the plug-in... I started to work on that project several years ago with MacOS X.6. It should work on it. But last MacOS is free on the Mac Apple Store!SirkusPi wrote:I'm intrigued, but I wish there were a demo (unless I'm missing it somewhere).

All the songs on this page use VoxUnit (sometimes, another vocoder, or choirs samples were used also). Isn't it a good demo?

Thanks for the info re: 32/64 bit.
In terms of the songs serving as a demo: the problem is that, like realmarco above, I kind of have a hard time hearing the vocal line in the demo tracks (some more than others). (This isn't a criticism of the quality of the songs, by the way; I'm just saying that, especially given your mixing choices, they're not necessarily the best way to showcase the VoxUnit plugin!).
If actually having a demo period for the plugin is impracticable, perhaps putting up a demo track or youtube video focusing just on the plugin (for example, have you singing a phrase, and then running that phrase through different presets in the plugin) would be helpful -- I know it would definitely be helpful to me.

This first published version of VoxUnit will be updated I guess. I could on this first version create a vocoder able to create realistic harmonics voices components, but also realistic vibrato or portamento effects. The text is comprehensible also, and that was very important for me.
It still sounds with a certain metallic aspect like any vocoder. I'll try in the updates to solve this problem. Most of what I needed to do for this project is done, and the result is better than with a pitch detune anyway.
With my band, we use VoxUnit to create background voices, choirs, and so on.
