Thanks for the recommendation. There isn't a lot of info out there, but it seems from what I've read that Dr. Device is a different shell on top of Ronin's core functionality, with the xy animation control thing added which is cool. But Ronin seems more flexible to me. I'm wondering if it can do everything Dr. Device can do, or if there's something I'm missing.Frantz wrote:I love Dr. Device. It is a bucket-brigade delay with a resonant filter, distortion, and a bit crusher in the delay loop. It has a simple way of automating the parameters by setting "pucks" in motion. It doesn't look like much but it's great.audientronic wrote:Any other favorites?

I don't own Ronin but looking at the screenshot, I can see some subtle differences. Ronin doesn't have a bit crusher, Dr. Device has two kinds of low pass filters, Ronin has a notch filter, etc. (By the way, I wouldn't want to be without the bit crusher.)audientronic wrote: Thanks for the recommendation. It looks like Ronin is very flexible in terms of routing but the ease of use of Dr. Device is great. You can get cool sounds out of Dr. Device in 2 seconds. You probably have to spend more time thinking about what you're doing with Ronin. It probably comes down to whether you prefer simplicity or flexibility.

Tip to all people who have problems logging in at Paypal after the check-out:
Simply log in at the usual, official Paypal site (https://www.paypal.com), and AFTERWARDS type in the data in the Paypal page of the check-out.
The Paypal page after the checkout didn't accept my email address, so I logged in at the official Paypal page. Then the other Paypal page worked, too.
Seems to be some issue with Paypal...could be that it doesn't work if someone has typed in a different email address for the checkout...

Just felt compelled to mention, as I've purchased nine AudioDamage plugins in the past/thus far, once you've gone through the process of purchasing your first plugin from them, subsequent purchases are A BREEZE, and don't require you to fill out all that registration stuff again. Just login, buy, and download.codec_spurt wrote: Funny thing is, I was just about to go back and buy Dubstation, but now I don't think I'll bother. I would like to, but I just don't have another hour or so to execute the transaction.

I have used Tattoo a lot. It is a pretty good X0X style drum machine without specifically emulating any particular machine. It is a breeze to use. The kicks, snares, and hi-hats sound pretty good IMO. The built in compressor is also quite handy. The built in sequencer is limited but is also very easy to use.synaesthesia wrote:Anyone used Tattoo? Any good?
Tattoo frustrations: The ability to change the sounds is pretty limited. You can tweak a handful of parameters only. I find the toms and cymbals disappointing and I can't improve them given the limited sound editing. I have noticed timing problems driving Tattoo from my DAW's sequencer. (The built in sequencer is fine.)
I am probably going to switch to Drumatic (now in beta). I think Drumatic can do a broader range of sounds than Tattoo.

25 percent off is considered a summer sale? not much of sale really. more like 25 percent off.

30% off is a good deal considering the already low price of the products.AstralExistence wrote:25 percent off is considered a summer sale? not much of sale really. more like 25 percent off.
