Chill out downtempo sort of jazzy thing driven by bass and rhodes, with some strat on top. It's a rough mix. Don't often post music here (Don't often finish music projects ) constructive criticism, wild adoration, or cash welcome, others by appointment.

Some tasty guitarification. Well played all around.
The mix was a bit rough as noted. I wasn't crazy about the drums. Samples of real drum hits but clearly programmed. Maybe get some more convincing drum loops.

Thanks for listening!
as for the drums, point well taken, some of the other feedback I've gotten focused on that as well. All I can say at this point is that they were what I was going for, I wanted them crisp with a just a bit of punch on the low end. I actually had them HPF'd at one point, they sounded a bit like drums on a David Gray record (no relation!) As for what they are, they're a couple of rex loops, not programmed sampled drum hits, lol. I spent some time rearranging slice order to get some variety into the different sections of the song, but they aren't quantized, and zooming into my sequencer shows they don't grid up very much. since the rest of the song is parts played in mostly live from my guitar and keyboard, and I've never been accused of musical precision, the drums are the tightest thing in there and may be clashing with the general looseness of the other stuff. I'm probably going to keep them for this song, but thanks for the feedback.

The drums may not be quantized but they are clearly not real because I hear identical snare hits again and again. A real drummer couldn't do that. I tend to like things to sound like a drum machine or realistic. This is neither. It is the "uncanny valley" of drum tracks.
But if that's what you're going for, fair enough.

np it's all good. other than the sidestick section, which I like, you may have a good point on the snare mebbe I can try some drum replacement with one of my multisampled libraries. may be more work than I want to do at this point
