maybe this, I keep hearing about Suhr's.
http://www.soundpure.com/p/suhr-classic ... uitar/6545
Something with a single in the neck. I miss my strat sounds (I don't miss my strat though, RUINED imho, total GC street buy just to get rid of it!)
I'll get about 2000 for what I'm selling.

Personally fender have not done a high gain amp I would ever want in my own collection and I doubt that will ever change mate. Cleans usually good upto sublime and gain wise seventies rawk with a very pokey sort of thing but still bassy if needs be, Not the sort of gain/sounds I go for but they do what they do very well. Also their choice of loudspeakers seem to my ears always to work better for clean to rawkish but never a lot of gain. Wouldn't trade the old 5150 II for an EVH nor the Bugera 6262+ either for that matter, That's just me though. Case in point, Their 'Machete' amp which is just another dud and way overpriced, As far as I know their most recent high-gain offering. I've never had the EVH side by side any of my own for proper A/B testing but still it wasn't touching the 5150 II or 6262+ for me
plus that Machete combo is laughable
Sims I don't have tons of experience with but fizz isn't anything I've found with the one's I do use (unless having the treble, presence maxed with a treble booster before and say a 57 on axis placed dead centre on a small speaker model, Fizz for fun but pretty damned easy to avoid)
I'm sure a Suhr 'super strat' type would happily return the strat neck sounds you are missing. Uncle Torture is the man to ask for specifics on Suhr guitars though. I reckon as a wild card this with a little work for adding a single coil for the neck position would be great although I know DIY customizing is not your fondest route - http://www.bcrich.com/models/guitars-an ... r-Retro/59 of course Warmoth will see you right whatever you want

Well, I slipped up and sent an offer of $1600 and free shipping the other day , it usually goes for $1999 , the lowest Ive seen them was for $1650 but you had to pay the shipping . I thought for sure it would be refused so I'll be getting this today http://breedlovemusic.com/guitars/ameri ... rs/d-sre-h
Its basically a copy of the pre-war Martin28 , they curved the headstock on the new ones , the older ones had the flat headstock like the Martins . I probably could sell it for $1600 if I dont like it . Ah man cant wait , shame on me shame on me .
Breedlove isn't quite popular in its revival series or Martin copies of guitars there signature models are strung simular to an electric and have this big old saddle stabilizer thingy inside the guitar . Any of you have too many guitars
man Im gonna have to sell some stuff if this thing works out .
shame on me shame on me ......

I'm nuts
http://www.fender.com/guitars/stratocas ... pic-pearl/
No, I haven't bought it yet, but as I regress I want a STRAT sound. Is there anything better than a strat for a strat sound????????
I'ma sleep on it.......
Oh, and not sure I'm keeping the MM. It's a beast and the narrow neck is nice but I'm concerned about a couple of things.

To be honest my strat collects dust simply because after 30 years I'm board with the tone. I'm not going to sell it because of that "one day' feeling I get from time to time.hibidy wrote:I'm nuts

A g&l might be even better for a strat sound. At least they have good tremolos..
