Synapse Audio has released The Legend HZ, an updated version of their virtual analog synthesizer The Legend. This new version was developed in collaboration with film composer Hans Zimmer.
Building upon the Legend, the collaboration with Hans Zimmer has brought advances in analog modeling with The Legend HZ now boasting features its predecessor lacked: three new oscillators (with expanded polyphony), a modulation matrix, a powerful 32-step sequencer, an MSEG for intricate modulation, and a wider range of effects.
The Legend HZ aims to deliver the sound of Hans Zimmer's vintage hardware, including a fixed filter bank modeled after his rare Vintage 914 Fixed Filter Bank. There are also 200 Zimmer-approved presets available, crafted by Kevin Schroeder.
