Impact Soundworks proudly presents Rhapsody: Orchestral Percussion, a comprehensive collection of traditional & extended instruments from the symphonic percussive canon. This Kontakt 5 library includes 50 instruments in total sampled with up to 10x RR variations / 5x dynamic levels and three mic perspectives.
Instruments included with the library range from core drums (bass drum, snare, tom, ensembles, timpani) to cymbals & gongs (scraped, suspended, muted, rolled), auxiliary percussion (shakers, finger cymbals, sleigh bells, triangle, tambourine), hand drums (cajon, darbuka, djembe, bongos, congas) and chromatic instruments (xylophone, marimba, tubular bells, glockenspiel, crotales).
The tone of Rhapsody: Orchestral Percussion is intended to be as neutral and honest as possible, suitable for both intimate small ensemble pieces and dramatic compositions alike. Using the close mic, composers can achieve a focused and dry sound, while mixing the decca + hall mics adds a sense of space, depth and air without being overwhelmingly "epic".
Rhapsody: Orchestral Percussion is provided in both 16-bit / 44.1 and 24-bit / 44.1 flavors, depending on the needs of the composer. The three mic positions along with all instruments can be mixed, panned, loaded and unloaded to preserve memory and fit in a mix.
An elegant one-page user interface is included with mixing features, internal presets, convolution reverb, and per-instrument outputs. The focus of this UI is to allow composers to quickly and easily modify & mix the instruments to fit in their tracks, without need for a manual, keyswitches or complex MIDI CCs.
Rhapsody: Orchestral Percussion is available for the introductory price of $199 through Sept 30, 2014 (MSRP: $249).
