Produce Like a Pro with Mixcraft 10.5

Mixcraft is Acoustica's highly acclaimed digital audio workstation (DAW) software for Windows. Since its initial release in 2004, it has been a go-to choice for both professionals and beginners. Mixcraft is available in two versions: the entry-level Recording Studio and Pro Studio, which offers additional powerful tools, instruments, and effects.

The introduction of Mixcraft 10 in 2023 transformed the software with a more intuitive, scalable, and colorful interface, context-sensitive pop-up menus, and flexible drag-and-drop automation controls. The updated Start Panel provides quick access to saved projects, templates, and the latest Mixcraft news. The robust new plugin architecture is incredibly stable and gives users better ways to manage their plugins through a redesigned plugin manager. Users can assign custom hotkeys and project settings, and a more comprehensive range of control surfaces is now supported. And Mixcraft's video editing capabilities make it a comprehensive multimedia powerhouse under one roof.

Every improvement and new features in Mixcraft has been centered on inspiration, ease of use, and stability. With the latest 10.5 update, Mixcraft has introduced even more enhancements to allow musicians to achieve their music goals faster and with professional-level quality.

New in Mixcraft 10.5

{See video at top of page}

Mixcraft 10.5 now includes preset Project Templates, which offer task-specific presets for podcasting setups, mastering, video editing, and more. MIDI controller support has been expanded, and the new Quick Access panel enables users to quickly add, remove, and reorder instruments and effects on virtual tracks. Behind the interface improvements is a solid backbone of further enhanced stability and plugin support. 10.5 also introduces a new Auto-save function with user-selectable intervals. These features and improvements are standard in both Mixcraft 10.5 Recording Studio and the feature-rich Mixcraft 10.5 Pro Studio.

Mixcraft 10.5 Pro Studio Exclusive New Feature

Pro Studio also offers powerful features like Track Regions, audio and MIDI routing, Melodyne pitch shifting, and acclaimed plugins like Cherry Audio's DCO-106, Stardust 201, and Galactic Reverb, and more.

I can only recommend this daw. I have used Reaper, Cubase, Logic and Samplitude for many years. Mixcraft 10 and the initiative workflow is a blessing. I've been using Mixcraft since version 8.

I use about 300 different plugins from various manufacturers in Mixcraft and everything works as it should. To this day I haven't had to use the manual once and I make really complex mixes with various automations, vocoders etc. I think that says it all.

The forum and the community are super awesome. At the beginning of version 10 I had a few minor bugs, all of which were fixed immediately.

I won't use anything else to search idiotic endless context menus for needed features or to ask the community how to do something simple.

I've been using Mixcraft for over ten years. I've worked with Mixcraft 5, 7, 8, 9, and now 10, and this is by far the WORST version of Mixcraft I have EVER used. None of my samples from previous versions will carry over, a good portion of my plug-ins won't load into it, and its just not very user friendly. I used to be able to use the space bar to pause/ play, but not anymore. Sometimes the play/pause button on the screen doesn't even work. If I open a plug-in to edit it, I can't close out of it, the x doesn't do anything. Same with editing virtual instruments, so I end up with multiple tabs open that I can't close out of. I can't go into preferences. No clue why it just won't let me open it, so I have no way to switch to headphones, change MIDI preferences, etc. Honestly I tried this version out for about two weeks and then went right back to using version 9, at least that one actually works. I only paid the $39 upgrade price and I feel it wasn't worth it, I could never imagine paying full price for this garbage. I've been a loyal customer to Acoustica for most of my music career but I think it's time to just save my money and get something better like FL or Logic.

As you can see below, even with the project paused it will not let me get into preferences, ctrl + alt + p doesn.t work either I tried. I have multiple FX and instrument tabs I can't close out of. I would have left this review on Acoustica's site directly, but their site doesn't have anywhere to leave reviews, I wonder why.

I have just purchased mixcraft 10 pro upgrade from mixcraft 9 pro and I have to say that this DAW is the very first one I came across a few years back where everything was absolutely pristine fabulous of which worked straight out of the box and everything was where one would expect it to be even if you have never used a DAW before. It's just phenomenal for the price imho. For paid DAWS I would say that this software is up there as a strong contender as a solid DAW but doesn't seem to get the publicity that it deserves but I started with mixcraft 8 home and 8 pro and then moved on to 9 pro and I have never ever come across any issues and for the amount of extras that you get with this software I don't honestly think you can go wrong in conjunction with a team of developers that are really really down-to-earth and extremely helpful. If you are looking for a DAW to start you off on your journey of music production I don't honestly think that you could go wrong by purchasing acoustica mixcraft as long as you have the specs needed to run a DAW. I have 32 gig RAM on one laptop and 64 on the other but this software works perfectly on an old 8 gig RAM laptop I have. The UI is sleek and very upmarket and the software extras that you get with this alone are worth the money. Because I owned mixcraft 9 pro I upgraded for an insanely low price and it has never faltered and although I am not a professional musician I hope one day to be able to write my own music and I will be featuring this DAW on my YouTube channel in the near future such is the awesomeness of the software. Have a fabulous day, Steph.

Best DAW out there!!! It gives me all the functionality I need to fully produce an entire song from scratch, while making it really easy for me to do so! All other DAWs out there are more expensive, seem insanely complicated, and they aren't any better than Mixcraft. After all, all you need to produce is a DAW that gets the job done the best way possible, but you'd also want it to be simple and efficient.

Mixcraft, keep up the good work, and hopefully we'll see the next Mixcraft 10 soon :).

Criminally underrated, .

Been using FL Studio for 10+ years, but wanted to switch to a more linear type DAW, and after testing Waveform, Studio One, Bitwig, Reaper and Acid Pro, i stumbled upon Mixcraft almost by mistake and decided to give it a try.

Ive paid $299 for FL Studio at the time, and recently paid $30 for Mixcraft during a promotion, and i havent touched FL Studio for almost 3 months and i probably gonna keep on using Mixcraft from now on as my only DAW.

So what's so special about it? It's easy to use, i found that I'm able to compose faster that i could in FL Studio, and it has some very nice features such as:

- instrument stacking on every channel (with note and velocity filters).

- global modulation system, .

- easiest side chaining and MIDI routing that I've ever seen.

- one knob compressor and saturation on every mixer track.

- very competent performance panel a-la Bitwig.

This is a great and full featured DAW, and fact that nowadays i rather use it than use FL Studio which i invested much more money in, speaks for itself.
