Is it possible to write a VST plugin that can be used as an insert or send in a host in a group channel that and have channels for the tracks sent to the group so that they can be individually modified before going to the group? I realize that this is what the mixer itself is for but I have other uses for a multichannel plugin that can be opened from a single channel. Alternatively the plugin could just request what tracks to take as channel inputs and where to send the tracks afterward, but I don't know where this would be launched.
Am I making sense?
