DX -> VST?

Hey,
I'm familiar with the wrappers that allow VST instruments/effects to be used in hosts based on DirectX components (like Sonar). But are there wrappers that go in the opposite direction, making a DX instrument or effect useable in a VST enviornment (say, like Chainer)?
I Googled and searched but didn't come up with anything. It may be too obtuse a request, but it may have some advantages right around the corner (Dimension in Project 5 maybe?).
Thanks for any insights,
Envoy

Excellent. The current use was to simply use a particular DX effect, but I'll keep that in mind if I opt for Project 5 and the Dimension synth, which I believe is only DX.ew wrote:The only drawback of ffx4 is that you can't use DX synths. Console will let you run DX synths as well.
Again, thanks all for the tips!

He's looking for DXi to VST and not VST to DXi...Stairsteps wrote:Go here to get a DXi to Vsti converter----->

Um, I think that is the opposite of what I want - that one allows VST use in a DX environment, which I've already got covered with DirXicizer (sp?) and Chainer.Stairsteps wrote:Go here to get a DXi to Vsti converter----->

In practice it never mattered to me - very few software instruments are DXi only - most come in several formats (apart from the few that come with Project 5 perhaps).Landphil wrote:Good catch, ew. I forgot about FFX's lack of instrument support.

Be a small, one-trick pony? I just needed a simple wrapper (which was the first suggestion in the thread, and works perfectly for my needs!), not a full blown application. If I was the type to work in a FL environment, then I'd probably just work inside of that...GypsyJazz wrote:Is there anything this proggy can't do?
