Hello,

what are your favorite plugins you feel don't get the recognition they deserve, given how excellent they are. For me it is the Szechuan Saturator. I always put it on my mix bus. I like the stank, groove, filth, boom, bap, tiddie, clip, dirt, drip, sticky icky, ice, heat, pocket, slapperoni and cheese, big PP, the unborn as well as the love and affection it adds to my mixes. The net weight of 4.20 OZ is just the right amount for me.

THROUGH A COMBINATION OF DYNAMIC SATURATION FUNCTIONS, MODULATION, AND TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT, THIS PLUGIN IS GUARANTEED TO TAKE YOUR TRACKS FROM BLEH TO MEH.

-blah blah-

THE PART THAT MATTERS TO YOU?
THIS SHIT WILL MAKE YOUR MUSIC SOUND STEAMY AND BOOTYLICIOUS.
Please share your hidden gem plugins.

Audiothing Wires and Reels. Envelope follower on, dial in noise/hum/motor until you can just about hear it, set mix knob between 1 and 10% wet. Instant „analogue“ flavour on anything.

Also, the Noise module in ShaperBox.

Thanks for the instructions.
How realistic is this in reproducing mp3 encoding?

Another plugin I rarely see anyone talk about is airwindows' Nikola:

I put it on my 2bus whenever I need more hair on my mix. 8)

For realistic mp3 encoding, it is your hidden Gem. Check out all this dev's plugins if that's your thing. I love the one-knob rotting fish.

That's nice. I like that I can put it on the 2bus to get a preview how it would sound with mp3 encoding.

Rotting fish doesn't sound too pleasant, maybe it's okay with a bit of szechuan saturator. I'm going to give it a try.

Another one I put on my 2bus from time to time is the rangemaster by distorque.

Should have said I love the concept of the one-knob rotting fish. Yeah, in practice a bit rough. If you like these sort of digital manglers, also check out free Lese Codec and iGorski Home Corrupter (the clock speed param). None of these would have made me a billionaire, but I do enjoy them.

Great! Thanks. I always like to put something nice on my 2bus. I need something to get a vibe going, anything else is like chicken nuggies without any sauce on them.

You never know. I am also looking for a low CPU synth for some experiments.

Nomad Magma, 65 effects for < $199

With the right combinations it can sound almost as good as Softube plug-ins.

Add: I tried to emulate the Softube CL1B using other plug-ins, because $249 was too much for me.
