EFX Fragments feature request

I would be very happy to be able to automate the direction of the step sequencer modulators. I can choose, forward, backward, pingpong, random, but I can't automate that choice. There are times, for example, when I'd like to begin a piece with the forward sequence, and then as a little boost somewhere along the timeline go to random steps. And then maybe return to forward, even.
