Hello,

Ample Sound has updated 14 virtual guitars to v3.7 with new Riffer and Scalable UI size.

New Features:
  • A new Riffer system with improved MIDI export function and optimized strumming sounds; All Ample products' riffs are inter-compatible.
  • UI size scaling function.
  • Updated legato system, supporting slides and hammer-on/pull-off across different strings (polyphonic) and different frets, and the start notes on multiple strings can be played at different times.
  • Optimized accuracy when exporting from Strummer to Riffer, changing the export from 'overwrite current bar' to 'add a new bar' in Riffer.
  • Updated preset files for all 14 guitars.

Bug fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where the plugin might fail to load in large projects on Mac systems.
  • Fixed an issue where some notes may not stop properly during fast hammer-on/pull-off.
  • Fixed an issue where the playing speed of Strummer/Riffer/Tab is not correct with certain sample rates.
  • Fixed an issue where some notes may not be updated correctly when switching patterns in Strummer.
  • Fixed an issue where some notes may still be bent when Poly Bend is turned off.

This upgrade is free for existing users. Users can log in to the MyAmplesound page to download.

1. Do we need to install any new sample libraries along with the new installer?
2. I have the AGRB and the AGT. I see the v 3.7 for the AGT, but only a v 1.1 for the AGRB. Is that right? Does the AGRB have all the new features/fixes?

Thanks.

I have the same questions as Billy86.
Please respond.

1. You need to install what is on MyAmplesound page for download. If you don't see a library there it is not necessary with a new library.
2. It is on MyAmplesound page for download so v1.1 for AGRB is an update. The Rickenbacker is developed much later than the others and therefore has a lower version. Most software starts with version 1.0.

Thank you.

The update is regarding 14 guitars (instrument software) updated to version 3.7 not the library of samples.

Hi. Since this update I’m having issues with Ample Guitar SC and Ample Bass P.

The first one is with the strummer. When I play my project, the quantize knob on the strummer defaults to 1/16 and continues to reset to 1/16 even after changing it to 1/8. This happens in old projects and new alike.

The second issue is both are now causing my projects to overload and stutter because of the amount of performance bandwidth they are using. When I check my performance monitor, both guitars are at the top of the meter usually taking up 20-30% each. This wasn’t the case before.

Please help as I use these plugins in every single project.

does anyone know how to set the notes (on the riffer) to play up or downwards? the upstroke/downstroke drop down menu has been replaced with the note one. I'm using Ample Guitar Luthier. Thanks.

Please click on the strum note at the bottom string, and choose upstroke/downstroke.
