apQualizr2 + Linear phase in Ableton 11 fail to be properly delay compensated

Hello,

Dunno if this is a bug/known bug - but when using apQualizr2 in linear mode, delay compensation seems to go wrong. All timing based plugins cant be after the eq, since they will be off the grid with the rest of the track (i.e. ducker, etc).


Is this known?

It’s Ableton Live’s known issue, yes. Automation of plugins after plugins with latency works fine OTOH.

Thanks nko.. and let me add this: I don't recommend using the linear mode unless you absolutely need to be sure phase does not change anywhere (or like pre-ringing). In my opinion it's much better to use mixed phase mode which will produce much less latency and make issues like this one more bearable while still providing linear phase for any gentle eqing/filtering.
