Shreddage 3 no effect from vibrato/tremolo. Automation with console?

I am a begginer. I dont get any effect from vibrato/tremolo regardless of speed/depth. Whats wrong? I guess its some settting that overrides this. Also, its not possible to use automation to control the console, like distortion, is there anyway to solve this?

Are you using the modwheel (MIDI CC 1) for vibrato? That's the default assignment. You can also turn the knob labeled "Vibrato Amount" on the main page to make sure it's working.

Thanx. I use arftertouch in the interface and use aftertouch in my midi-file. I also try to turn the knob in the interface, I can not hear anything. Its serpent. I can adjust "bite" with cc10 in my midi-file and also with the knob so it seems it should work with tremolo/vibrato also. If I want to activate distortion on a note, can I do this without using hammer? I dont want any extra note, I just want distortion on one note.
