I feel like two essential things are missing: (1) the possibility to lock the input / output gain control > once set it would be really nice to switch presets without the need to readjust the gain controls. (2) a way to adjust input / output gain control at once via an mouse modifier or similar (ofc with oppositional direction e.g. one sets input to +6db the output goes down by 6db). Thanks
It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

(1) excluding some parameters from preset changes quickly gets messy. If things need to be kept separate, using a separate gain-utility plugin solves this elegantly.
(2) This can already be achieved using the user modulation knobs, it's possible to hook up one of the three knobs to both input and output gain and apply -100% scaling to one.. and the knob can even be renamed to something like "drive" and be automated in the host. The saturation engine in apShaper already includes such a drive knob that does exactly that and saturation is where it makes the most Note that in general a +6 dB input won't result in +6 dB output because of the waveshaping - the more shaping happens the less output and input volumes correspond.
