Hey Runners! I am Voider, a professional Sounddesigner from Germany who has created a few commercial bestseller soundsets, themed around my futuristic style. This course will take you on a journey through the very core of a synthesizer, you'll learn about the most important parameters, the modules, the effects, and how it all works together. You will learn the fundamental concepts that'll give you the power to make your imagination come alive and to create your own patches or adjust presets to your taste, do give them your own unique flavour.
Synthesizers are beautiful instruments, in fact the most futuristic and modern instruments we have,
and they offer so much freedom and possibilites unlike anything else, if you understand how to utilize them.
And the best thing is, that all the plugins out there that we love to buy and incorporate into our musical compositions are based on the very similiar concept of synthesizers. This means that once you've mastered synthesizers, you'll rarely look into the manual of new plugins because everything makes naturally sense to you.
This course is specifically designed for beginners up to intermediate, while I will explain everything from scratch, you'll as well learn some advanced techniques and a lot of examples for more advanced sounddesign.
Enroll now, grab a nice drink and load up your synthesizer - we've got sounds to create!
Welcome to the future.
Enjoy!

How can I make this sound, best audible at 45 sec.?
Can you make the sound in pigments and show us how you would create it?

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that the course is avaiable at a 50% INTRO SPECIAL discount for the next 4 days!
Be quick and don't miss this offer, won't be this low for quite a time! Follow this link: https://www.udemy.com/course/how-to-bec ... FDB04E4AE7
recreating a specific sound can sometimes take a while with a trial & error approach.
The very base of the sound is something like a saw wave oscillator (or probably super saw / several saw oscillators detuned against each other) and some LFO modulation on the finetune for the vibrato effect, with the LFO set to sine- or triangle wave.
Besides that it sounds a little bit like they've used a bit of glide/portamento.
If you experiment with those settings you should come pretty close
Cheers x

I'm currently pretty busy with projects but I can give you a pointer into the direction,

I couldn't make the sound with a supersaw and the vibrato.
Can you show me how to make it?
Listen to the sound at 45 sec. I mean the "tsang tsung" sound at 45 sec.
Maybe pigments can do it?

At 45 sec the whole band is playing at same time. Just before 45 sec there is a tom drum fill and then at 45 sec comes a longer note where multiple instruments are playing a kind of orchestral hit or orchestral chord. I'm hearing a bass guitar, the screechy vox/lead sound, snare drum, bass drum, trumpet/brass section, and maybe also distorted guitar and strings, all playing at the same time. You can hear those sounds separately much better in other parts of the track. All of those sounds could be from a sample based rompler synth, or even from some General MIDI sound bank.juno987654321 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 4:49 pm

Whoa, it's Blue Saws again!
So it wasn't just a supersaw with some vibrato as the other guy said.
Thanks for the in-depth information, mayne!

What day is it today? I just woke up.
Is it already too late for the 50 % off or what's happening?

My reply was about how to rebuild this sound, not about what's in the original, since you wanted to know how to create such a sound Regarding the original, bluesawsq is right with that there's a lot of stuff going on, and it's sampled and has 16 bit sound from a specific chip that Nintendo used for the SNES, but you can still rebuild it with Pigments.juno987654321 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 2:50 pm

I've only spend ~10-15 minutes now on this (because as I said polishing a patch can take quite a while) but I came pretty close to a satisfying result. From here it could be improved further and designed closer to the original sound, this is just a prototype, but a really solid base.
So here's the playlist with two pieces, one time the full piece with my custom patch playing the lead and then the lead alone isolated so you can hear it alone.
https://soundcloud.com/foxedge/sets/nin ... H3EiRshwDc
I will attach the patch so you can download and use it in your Pigments.
The approach was as recommended by me in the thread earlier: Some detuned saw waves (I've detuned it in the Unison part on the left), pretty open filter and resonance for the bright sound and some fast LFO modulation on the finetune for the vibrato, controlled by the modwheel so you can dial it in only when it's necessary. Then I've added and set up some reverb in the fashion it sounds like on the old super nintendo soundchip, it's a reverb that fades out pretty quick, almost like a gated snare, small room. Then I've added a little bit bitcrush to reduce the overall quality just subtle. Now, for the iconic sample sound from the 16-bit era, I added a second engine with a sample that fits in for that initial "sample sound", which is given in the original. I've linked Envelope 2 to that sample's volume, so that it's only audible in the very beginning of every note and we get only the effect that we want, and not the whole sound of that sample. I've also transposed the sample up one octave to fit the brightness of the original.

Hahahaha! This is great!
Really interesting sounds for my turtles remix!
Choos you've gotta listen to this. It will be in my next turtles remix!
We will play it at my 40+ singles party. Will you join in or have you married, alright?
