Just thought I’d bump this for no reason.

Feels like pressure, but that’s only because I’ve been working every hour I can on getting Aspect ready for external testing. But yeah, end of this month, beginning of the next, still seems realistic, amazingly enough. Minor setback this week as I had to tweak the new filters, and I really don’t want to be making DSP changes at this stage, but Aspect is looking and sounding great if I do say so myself.

Excellent! Can’t wait. Criminally under-appreciated synth.

I appreciate that it looks ands sounds good for you, Colin.
Even more would I love to join the praise if it wasn't for a little obstacle...
Now have a relaxing Easter Holiday to recover, and then just push it !

Thanks, much appreciated. I'm really proud of what I've got done with this update, and I truly hope you all feel it delivers. In the meantime: a Happy Easter to one and all!

OK, a little behind on this as family dog issues took priority over this. But I'm catching up this weekend, so beta early next week is inevitable. Apologies for the delay, but I'm sure all friends-of-dogs will appreciate how hard it can be when your canine pals are in a bad way.

At the end of the day Colin, they are a family member. No need to apologise.colin@loomer wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 10:04 am OK, a little behind on this as family dog issues took priority over this. Very exciting news still, and looking forward to the beta

I'm not a friend-of-dogs. Neither am I a hater-of-dogs.
But whoever you call family - be it tarantula, hamster, goose, dog, or T-Rex - shall be receiving priority treatment of a family member. Mosquitos excluded.

You, sir, shall have it by Wednesday. The final thing I need to confirm before putting it into the hands of the masses is some last A\B testing to ensure that I've not totally botched Aspect 1 compatibility. As I'm away dealing with other stuff until Monday morning, I just won't, until then, be able to set up an environment in which I can inspect the presets with the precision I need.
But, to whet your appetites, I think maybe I can show you two of the new themes of the UI. (There is also a "classic blue" theme, for those who liked the original colours, but that reveal can wait for another day.)
Overall, it uses the same tab-free UI concept as Aspect 1, although certain components such as MSEG and sequencer can be unfolded for more precise editing. Modulations can now be configured entirely by drag and drop, and hovering over a modulation source or destination highlights any corresponding connections. It's a really intuitive way of working, I think.
