Hi All
My new album is done: "Sketches of Place & Time"
I am planning to make a video for each track - oh the thankless joy. Here is Tk #1

For the synth spotters, it is all Reason 11. In this track, it was Space Case VSTs doing all synth/drum duties (and all but one effect too).
For the album I decided to use the new Master Bus Comp for the mastering - odd I know but I never used it when it was stuck in the desk. I wanted a more relaxed sound than I have had overall recently. The last album I was hoping to draw some of the Synthwave/Retrowave kids but they ignored me as usual so why not go back to the older, more relaxed feel I always preferred. That meant that unless it was messing with the Masters, no instrument/bus compression was used other than that slow ~3db on the SSL style Master Glue.
It is not possible to recapture the past in sound but I hoped for a bit of an Eno "Music For Films" sort of feel for the record. I'm sure I missed by a mile but that is part of Art and I am not worried. The album represents where I was the day I made each track the month/s I made the record overall. Why I was in a place to make a record cover that looks more like Nitzer Ebb, I have no idea!

Sounds good to me Benedict, without trying to label it. Musically, it works for me whatever it is. Good luck with it.
