With an active Upgrade Plan, you get access to all updates we release, including major versions. The Upgrade Plan is valid for 12 months after registering a license, and you can renew it at any time, adding months to its validity period
so - it looks like you can further extend - no limit..

If you extend it, you can‘t lower your yearly fee by waiting some time until registering. But it does help the devs which is a good thing...
