The Donation Certificate from WWF arrived the other day, we raised $31075 in total which include the main auction on RallyUp plus the 2nd hand thread and the extra main auction items hosted in the thread. To all who participated, this one is for you.

Dear friends.
The past eight years, in October, our audio industry have raised more than $185.000 for Save the Children and $17.000 for Plastic Oceans through software and hardware auctions in an annual fundraising here on the forum of KVR Audio. Here is a diploma collage for the past eight years Charity Diplomas 2011-2018
The fundraising this year brings two major changes, both in regards to the non-profit we will raise funds for and the platform used for auctions and bidding.
Rainforests all over the world are burning. They need your help!
I got in dialogue with WWF Denmark and decided to raise funds for them with a focus on the rainforests. We made an agreement that 50% of the funds raised will be directed to local organizations with field operations in the Amazonas and the remaining will go to the rainforests in Indonesia.
The funds we raise will help combat deforestation and fires, supporting local and indigenous communities, campaigning for stronger action from the governments and support work in monitoring wildlife and projects on rescue and recovery care. Thousands of species live in the rainforest, and millions of animals have already been caught in the fire. Some of the richest places on the planet has been burned, and fires can compromise the preservation for current and future generations.
The auction platform
Auctions and bidding have moved over here: Audio Industry for Rainforests hosted by RallyUp which is a fundraising platform that has specialised in different ways of raising funds for charity, including auctions and we will be using their auction tool as the fundraising platform.
This means that no bidding will take place in this thread, bids will be made on on the auction site and instantly updated (edit: it might take a few minutes for the bid to show up). This thread will still be the main place where new contributions are announced and where we can talk in between bidding.
Nice-to-know compared to last years:
- PayPal cannot be used as payment in the auctions.
- You are biding on a specific product. You will not win other identical auction, only the specific one you are bidding on.
- The price for using the platform is 4.9% and that roughly equals the PayPal fees we have had throughout the years, and the price will be added on top of all winning bids (meaning, if you win a $150 auction you will pay $157)
- There is a FAQ found on the auction platform too, with more information.
There is a 2nd hand auction where you can donate your old plugins, this is run by EnGee, head over here and grab a bargain or donate some of your own stuff: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=532585
Happy bidding!
