Too few presets! Every synth is about the same!!!!
What synths could you possibly be talking about, "good" presets ..... ha ha ha, its like that for a reason.

Preset browsing is a fun pastime for me. That’s when i will modify or delete most of them and organize them. When i’m actually putting something together i will often just program a synth to do what i want, sometimes from init, sometimes from a preset. These days i’ve collected so many presets for my synths that it gets to be a chore digging through them if i’m in music/sound art whatever mode.
What i often do to presets is take out some of the sources (like remove an osc or sample when there’s 3 or 4.) I toss the ‘one finger song’ presets (and quite a few others.)

Haven’t bought a piece of software in at least two years. Got enough to last my lifetime. Now before a kvraudio freakout, that’s not to say i wouldn’t have fun with a few (20 or 30) new synths and especially effects.

It was a bit of a joke because often kvr=GAS.
I couldn’t list them all but NI, AAS, Alchemy, Omnisphere, Madrona, Virsyn, tons of free, bought, and homeade stuff for Reaktor. Etc. tons of fx. Lots of sample sets like Soniccoutre, Hollow Sun, plenty of homemade Kontakt, etc. I stopped buying synths about 5 yrs ago, fx, 3 yrs ago. I actually could spend a lifetime just with Reaktor. I use a lot of ‘old’ stuff. Interestingly, when i bought Reaktor (my second purchase [after Reason] i thought i might never buy anything else ) It’s likely i could have just used that and gotten by. As an example i’ve used the same bass guitar, 2 or 3 hardware synths, 3 homebuilt synths for many years. No problem.
