The modeled cymbals are really good in EXCITE. Maybe IK will do something like that in MODO DRUM 2.
Yeah, wishful thinking, I know.

Does anyone else ever notice MODO DRUM making weird pinging sounds, like a submarine, when it's just sitting idle after playing?
It seems to be coming from Floor Tom 1. It's like there's some garbage left in the buffer that it's still chewing on.

I maybe off base, could it be CPU saver setting in your DAW?! And a number of software hardware possibilities. It may be a new bug.

I don’t think so. It’s not new. I’ve experienced it for a long time(and MODO DRUM hasn’t been updated in over a year and a half.) It occurs in Mac and I’m pretty sure I experienced it on Windows as well, though it’s been a while since I’ve done any music in Windows.
I’ve experienced this behavior on MODO DRUM as long as I can recall, but I’ve shrugged it off because it’s mostly just annoying. I only recently investigated exactly what the conditions are that lead to it.
It seems to be an intermittent ping tone produced by Floor Tom 1, and shows up in the Floor Tom 1 close mic, overheads, and room mics when it sounds. Floor Tom 1 has to be played first before it starts to happen.
It an easy test to try out. Load up Floor Tom 1, hit it a few times, and wait to see if it starts pinging like a submarine’s sonar.
