MODO BASS does not require AVX instructions.

Thanks Peter. I have a Xeon 5670

Thanks for the information. We do also have a link to more information on AVX on the MODO DRUM Specs page for anybody interested.

Peter, will you be doing expansion packs for MODO? I’d love to have some electronic kits and also brushes?

Post

Peter, I think there is a bug where playing Tom 1 plays Tom 2 if position control is enabled for the toms.
Can you or anyone else confirm?

Support would be able to test and confirm if this is an issue and resolve it directly if it is something local (and send to the devs if global). Thanks!

I don't have specific information about expansions etc but the requests for brushes has been relayed. I'm not sure how electronic drums would work in the physically-modeled context (though I understand it would be cool to have them fully synthesized) but I'm open to an angle I'm not seeing on that.

Also, Dancetech did two more MODO DRUM videos, both based on a Queen cover. First is the song, second is the process

I've got Jamstix driving snare and tom positioning in MODODRUM and it sounds very realistic, going from center hits in the groove to left/right positioning during fills and back. Great job by IK Multimedia! Congrats!

Could you go into more detail, because I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I own Jamstix myself and have no clue how you integrate the two.

MODODRUM allows you to use MIDI controllers to control where on the snare and tom drum head the drumstick will hit for each note. Example: a human drummer usually hits in the center area of the snare while playing the groove but, for example, during rolls in fills where you have sequential left/right snare hits, the hits will be left and right of center, which changes the sound compared to center hits. The current Jamstix 4.4.0 Beta takes advantage of this feature and sends MODODRUM MIDI controller data to simulate this behavior and increase the realism of the performance.

Ah, but it's not in the current Jamstix 4.0 that I currently have. Correct?

Post

Correct, but you can try the Beta if you want.
