I was testing the new Hive 2.0 synth. I could not stop playing the preset "Cloud M9". So I made a song with it: "Diva".

This has a really great feel. I like the arrangement, smart, especially the kick leading into the beat. Is there a story behind the vox? Sounds like they shouldn't 'work' over the progression but they definitely do.

Very interesting track. The vocals fit perfectly (where do you have them from?) Production sounds perfect to my ears. I can't think of anything that can be done better.

HI troywestfield, Hi lilith93,
thanks for your listening and feedback.
The opera voice is taken from the Zero-G library "Classical vocal". :-)

I really like the lush pads at the beginning. Lovely, but maybe a few bars too long. @ 2:09 that mid bass coming in, - perfect, what a great sound.
I'm personally not sure if the opera vocal fits or not. Its unique to try it, and I applaud that, - but I am divided as to whether it works or not to be honest; the more I listen to it the more I lean to "not".
Some nice things in there to appreciate anyway.

I just make a very new version of "Diva".
I shortened the intro and I made a complete pitch rework of the Diva voice.
The voice should now work better together with the instrumental part.

Nice rework. The vocals are better pitch imho. But maybe let them "breath", i.e. put some space between some phrases, so the listener can absorb whats going on. Between 0:37 and 1:32 she is singing constantly. Even natural singers would not sing that long without taking a break for a bar or two. If you were sitting talking to someone and the other person was talking constantly without resting, then you'd probably find that tiring after a while.
Just my humble opinion.

Hi Bansaw,
thanks for your feedback.
To make breaks in the vocal was not so easy as I thought. I made now one break in the vocal line.
