Not sure what you're looking for. It's multiple sounds and loads of reverb. I guess at this stage it is not very helpfull to suggest synths (especially without being specific about which presets or specific synth function/strongpoints) or talk sound design.

First try to be more specific about which sound or sounds or sound characteristics you like. A better (more specific) question will yield a better (more specific) answer.

You probably like sounds/pads drenched in washes of reverb? As heard "in the background"? Sounds that if they were the only ones in a track could get that track labeled as "ambient"?

If so, it's more about the creation/simulation of "space" (e.g. by using washes of long reverb) then the actual sound design/synth.

Especially reverbs of the "Shimmer" kind as "invented" by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois and widely broad to the world via their production work for U2. Basically it's a Reverb with a frequency shifter in the Reverb feedback path.

There aren't many free Shimmer Reverbs. But WOK has one: Glimmerverb

A very popular commercial one is Valhalla Shimmer as demonstrated in this video.

f**k, thats a good idea i didnt even think about. i think the key is to not overthink shit and just take presets, do some lazy work on them and throw out the track.

i TEND to overthink shit

off to do that now.

thanks y'all

why would you call a good sounding synth that obviously millions of people enjoy crap?
You mean a synth sound, not a synth.
You're right, i made a spelling error there.
