Gearnews.com is reporting $149. https://www.gearnews.com/bx_oberhausen- ... m-classic/
I mean, it sounds great, but why would I buy this if I already have Arturia, Diva, or even OP-X Pro-II or OB-XD? Still too much for what it offers.

I saw it on a couple of other sites now as well (Amazona, GearNews etc.). Well, too much for me.

Same here...not feeling any hype watching the overview video. I'll pass on this one easily...teilo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 7:17 pm Gearnews.com is reporting $149. https://www.gearnews.com/bx_oberhausen- ... m-classic/

Yeah I don't get the hiding the price thing, like they are trying to hook you so you buy it
regardless. Personally, that pisses me off. I am really getting tired of their schemes, didn't buy
one thing out of all their recent cheap offers due to this kind of thing. Even bought chop shop
direct to avoid PA as much as possible.

No easy way to uninstall the demo...if you used their installer.

Wow, that is an insane intro price. I was quite enjoying this until i saw that!!! Jesus.
Anyway, first thoughts - oscillators have nice tone (if a little thin) does sound quite sem like (though i refrain from judgement without hearing direct comparison)
I do like the filter though. Sounds pretty nice to me.
This synth is insanely simple...which put me off a bit BUT to be honest, i use all of my own effects 99.9% of the time, so just having a simple synth with a good sound that is quick to use - could be a good thing.
Havent tried any of the unison modes yet

I know what you mean. I actually like the simple vibe of this - but when you look at how much synth you get for your money when you buy OP-X (or the Xils Syn X - one of the best out there IMO) it is a bit oddteilo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 7:17 pm Gearnews.com is reporting $149. https://www.gearnews.com/bx_oberhausen- ... m-classic/

Shame i missed the sale on OP-X cos it is a really good synth. Was on sale for 79 bucks for a couple of months at the start of the year. that is a full blown recreation with a ton of features and stunning sound. Same with the Xils - lot of synth for your money.
Wonder if there will be a Xils sale any time soon, that would make this tough

Lol i just looked on Xils - Mini Syn X is 49 bucks!
that is just a single layer version of Syn X.
It is hard to justify when you look at it through that lens. Xils makes unbelievably good sounding stuff.
Will see what the so called 'heavy hitters' price is
But if it is anything like my pick pack it will be 'pay twice what everyone else will pay in 6 months, just for the 'priviledge' of having it early'
