bastl grandpa that is.
a granular sampler thing, plays samples from a card.
these are the sounds it came with as i only installed it yesterday, along with several other modules, so need to read up on format and whether they need to be particular lengths or anything for best results.

out to 3 filters in to the computer on 3 tracks each with a separate delay...

then to your ears.

i thought grandpa was just snoozing in the comfy chair , but he
was actually linking the Schmidt number to entangled sub-block
matrices of a quantum state.

it is certainly a fun little thing :D

looking forward to getting my own sounds in to it and getting to a point where i can use it without having to check the instructions every few mins :hihi:

oh, and its currently upside down, which is a little more confusing than youd imagine :o

Bastl make some interesting devices. Not surprised you got one then...
Very cool.

Only had a chance to listen to the first one, Im afraid, but great stuff! Love the start especially.
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

I am a grandpa and I had great fun with it - played 2nd one very quietly in the house late at night on the downstairs hifi.

Visiting family freaked wonderfully for quite some time.

My title for it is 'Heaven and Hell'. Not sure why.
Jazz Clarinet Rocks - well sort of Swings anyway!

im sure there will be more before im done

just noodling so far, random button presses :hihi:
checking out the onboard sounds, some of which are great. the perc stuff is less useful to me personally, but good for getting ideas of what can be made to work for me.
will definitely be adding the "spa" expansion, access to those extra cv controls seems essential really :hihi:

glad you enjoyed 8)

thanks for listening, glad you liked :)

I really liked the second one :D

It reminded me of a stormy day...

How have you found using grandpa? Would you recomend it?

not that it was my intention, but i do love a good storm (so long as im listening from indoors) so ill take that as a compliment :D

its fairly new so im still finding new :o moments, still with the onboard sounds. even without the expander "spa" module, its capable of quite a wide range of sounds.
well, the expander doesn't add new features, just allows a greater degree of control over the functions already onboard...
if id been buying it the normal way, id have picked the spa up at the same time. but it wasn't offered in the charity auction. ill be adding it soon.

so yes id recommend grandpa as a granular sampler, but read up on it first and check whether you need the extra cv control and grab both at the same time :)

hope that helps :)
