So, this is my second testing of BUSTA. By reading the manual, I found out that BUSTA is an acronym for Biquadratic Unified Spectral Tracking Apparatus. The phrase "I'll be back." came to my so-called mind. Get out of there, Arnold.

Anyways, according to the BUSTA manual, external loops can be imported (in RAM) to temporarily replace BUSTA's 9 internal loops. BUSTA has 10 internal loops but the first one isn't replaceable.

The loop or loops to be imported doesn't have to be only 1-bar loops.
The loop to be imported can be, for example, one entire tune (of any length?).
I used an old tune of mine that's about 72 bars long as a "loop" (that "loop" was also the audio used in the second video below).

So, in the first video, it shows that BUSTA altered my original tune quite a bit, made it sound, to me, like music from India. I love the alteration. I was going to title my video "Tabla Raga" but I settled on "Trance India Express". I like that Kraftwerk song anyways.

widi vst does an ok job of this, but it is not free. There are a couple of really good audio-to-midi converters for low prices on iOS, MIDIGuitar2 and MIDImorphisis. I think MIDIGuitar2 might have a VST version too, but again, not for free. I do a ton of guitar to midi stuff, but use hardware, definitely not free! So this seems to be the only free one. There are some others that go direct from audio to synth, skipping the MIDI. Some oldy but good free ones are put out by fretted synth, who is still on kvr.

Thanks for the links.

You got Mono Repeater to work?
My computer is run by Windows 7 and I couldn't make Mono Repeater to work. Error message is "The program can't start because MSVCP140D.dll is missing from your computer."

The first third of the video is just me auditioning Syncla-X's built-in presets.
For the rest of the video I'm blindly testing and/or altering the sound of some of Syncla-x's built-in presets.

I'm not learned at making my own presets. I should learn. It's a valuable skill to have.

just need to install the appropriate visual C++ runtime from ms. You wil need 64 bit for 64 bit plugin or 32 bit(x86) for 32 bit plugin. If not sure just install both.

Thanks for watching!

Syncla-X sounds good. Thanks for the Video.

You got it.
Don’t mention it.
No worries.
Not a problem.
My pleasure.
It was nothing.
I’m happy to help.
Not at all.
Sure.
Anytime.

Thanks very much for the link for the Visual C++ 2015 runtime installers and for the link to your YouTube channel. I aim to subscribe.

I installed the 32-bit version first. It didn't help.
I still get the "MSVCP140D.dll is missing" error message. So, I uninstalled that. Next, I installed the 64-bit version. Same error message.
So, I uninstalled that too.

But I thought "It's probably good to reinstall both vc_redist.x86 and vc_dist.x64". So I did. Sequentially. It didn't help.
But I guess I'm keeping both of them installed even if Mono Repeater didn't work.
I suspect that the problem is that I am missing some crucial updates from Microsoft.
But I don't want to connect my offline music-making computer to the internet. I wish the developer of Mono Repeater would include that "MSVCP140D.dll" file in Mono Repeater's installer.

Couple things to try... Search for the .dll file in your windows folder. If you find it copy to the folder you have mono repeat in. This is a kludge but may work! The dev will probably help if you got to the mono repeater page of this forum.

I had to use the demo version of JBridge in REAPER 0.999 to test the Distortion plugin.
Distortion is 64-bit only.
The demo version of JBridge does not allow loading of presets.
It's too bad because Distortion has a bunch of presets.

Also, the demo version of JBridge will quit working after 20 minutes.
I hope the developer of Distortion will create a 32-bit version of Distortion.
It's possible that there's still a lot of people that can only use 32-bit plugins.

I like this plugin a lot. It seems like it might be useful to the kind of music I am trying to make.

First part of the video I'm just going down the list of Dystroyed's built-in presets. Last part of the video I'm randomly rotating Dystroyed's buttons. I was surprised to get a variety of sounds that might be useful later on but I didn't save them as presets.

My demo video capture software has a 10-minute usage limit. I thought that I didn't have enough time for saving new presets.

At some point I think I lost track of what preset was used previously. I think I tested the "Fat Happy' preset twice. I don't know if it's REAPER 0.999's fault but the "VST Program:" is stuck at "Empty".
