Receptor 2 Pro Max Ram Limit

I have a Receptor 2 Pro Max.
It's got two 2GB RAM sticks in it, but 4 slots.
I seem to remember that adding more than 4GB of RAM to it is pointless. Is that true?

Pro max can only use just over 3 Gb of ram because its rubing a 32 bit OS unless you have one of the hybrid models they churned out that supported 64 bit.
