Definitely interested when you get this ready to sell. Happy to be a beta tester as well. I have a ton
of hardware synths and having a powerful arp for them all would be awesome.
Great work on the newest version!

Hi,
I'm more interested in a polyphonic and MIDI CC modulation step sequencer , and I don't use CV stuff.. but I strongly recommend you look into adding an input for syncing to an audio pulse so the machine can be synced to computers without the MIDI clock jitter.

I thought nearly the same way. In my current design I have 4 analog outputs for cv or gate and 1 analog input. It will be possible to make it either audio input (beat detection) or pulse clock input.Treebase wrote:Hi,

Just a quick update on my progress.
The project is going on, now I'm trying to implement USB-MIDI functionality.
It's not easy at all, but I have some progress already.
Apart from that, I have smaller and better prototype already assembled.
Enclosure size now fits into 20x20cm restriction, making it 3d-printable with most of consumer-grade 3d printers.
I already tried to 3d-print it, works OK (though it's not as glamorous as I want it to be).
But anyway, it's important, cause, surprisingly for me, enclosure turned out to be the most expensive part of the whole thing...
My option of choice for enclosure manufacturing is moulding into silicon, though I didn't try it yet,
I need to finalize front panel layout first.
Another option I have in mind to make it cheaper for the customer, is to ship it without the enclosure and
provide STL 3d-model so you can 3d-print it yourself.
Or you can even use it without the enclosure (a-la tech geek version).

Some quick info om my progress - moving forward, already implemented MIDI sync (both as midi clock master and slave).
Audio pulse input will be an option too, cause the unit currently has 1 audio input.
Currently polishing the button/interface logic - want to make sure current button arrangement will work fine. Maybe will change button arrangement a little bit.

This latest video, shows the real essence of BlueARP, it's matured and I believe this is a milestone of the BlueARP development... So glad to see how it evolves.. Great efforts indeed master Graywolf

This is fantastic. Great work.

A demo showing CV/Gate and Analog input functionality of my current prototype. Finally I can say it works as expected!

BTW, I'm on my way to Berlin to attend Superbooth 2019.
If you happen to be there and want to say hello and/or chat about BlueARP, you are welcome.
I'll wear back t-shirt with "BlueARP" logo printed white on black. Just like here:
https://web.facebook.com/BlueARP.IF/?_rdc=1&_rdr
PS. I didn't make it to participate as exhibitor cause my hardware unit is not 100% ready. Secondly, they were out of free spaces when I wrote them (it was several months beforehand). But anyway I decided to go there as a visitor.

Real-time performance using BlueARP mk.1 rev.6 unit. Synths and a drumbox are midi-slaved to bluearp.

On the circuitry level everything tested and works as expected, just some minor issues.
The main issue is the enclosure - it's too expensive. I have several options:
1. Try to make several units with silicon-moulded enclosure (might not meet required linear size accuracy)
2. Use cheap FDM 3d-printing. Will work, but won't look pretty
3. Go for metallic enclosure (surprusingly, for small batches - it is cheaper)
3rd option will delay me for many months, probably for a year. Any suggestions or opinions on this?
