Question regarding the arpeggiator gate on Phonec

I downloaded the demo for Phonec last night and I absolutely love it. I'm definitely buying this plugin. I just finished reading the manual, and I've been playing with everything as I go along. For some reason I'm not hearing any effect when I change the "Gate" control on the arpeggiator. Whether it is all the way to the right or all the way to the left, I am still just getting the same long notes. It doesn't seem to be doing anything at all. Is there something I am doing wrong? I love the sound of a short gate on an arpeggiator and really want to figure this out. Thanks in advance.

Make sure Phonec isn't set to 'Legato' mode. Arp Gate only works in Poly and Mono modes. Also, make sure to turn the Amp Release down so you can hear the gate working. Let me know if this works.
