Great news on fix! Loading the Cockos spectrum analyser after Repro-5 on the effect chain caused Reaper to quit also, but I expect it's all in the same bug.deadbeef wrote:This one is 1000% REAPER's fault, fixing for 5.71rc2+.David Else wrote: PS sorry to add bad news, the VST3 version crashed Reaper as soon as I pressed the 'x' close window button on the floated version.

tested only with MFM2, but it would not even detect in reaper5.abique wrote:WARNING: the build 7015 have a few showstopper bugs. It is to test the GUI only.
Seems 4408 builds comes with a additional *.64.avx.so file, which 7015 does not?

Ok, testing the latest build on Bitwig Studio 2.3beta3. I've only tested Bazille and Repro:
- Bazille's GUI always crashes for me. Sound is fine. Both for VST2/3.
- Repro-1/5 work OK [still the search window takes input but seems to do little].
Cheers, E.

Im checking 7015 builds on renoise@arch (-10days)
As far as im playing now im unable to run Bazille, as it crash 1-3 seconds after startup.
Repro, Zebra, and ACE works fine for ~30 minutes.

New bug > Repro-5 VST3i is now stuck 'updating database...' in the file browser, even with restarting Reaper can't access the presets any more.

Build 6987: Zebralette: The patch browser always goes at the bottom of the patch list after choosing a patch.
Is it possible to install 4458 back over 6987 using install.sh while keeping intact all defined favorites, patches, oscillators, etc ?

Move the existing folder from your vst path, delete it's link,
and reinstall the other version, then copy back what you need.
Individal saved presets should be OK, might need to be manually placed,
but I wouln't expect any hocuspocus from some newfangled preset browser
to be backward compatible.
Cheers

Thanks. Good care must then be used to preserve the favorites. I rely a lot on them when creating music as they are the first gotos. You're probably right regarding the non-backward install compatibility.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Seeing that there are showstopper bugs, I'm just testing occasionally
I can however report that the bug with removing VST3 plugs (ACE) while the GUI is open causing a crash has been fixed in reaper 5.75. For me the only bug when running in reaper (archlinux) that I know of is that the vst2 version of plugs have GUI lags.

Open the plugin, go to the plugin preferences, set the 'scan on startup' option to 'on'. Close your host, then start your host again, load the plugin, and it should do a new scan and then show your presets again.David Else wrote:New bug > Repro-5 VST3i is now stuck 'updating database...' in the file browser, even with restarting Reaper can't access the presets any more.

Wow. So it's a full rebuild of the browsers, including basic widgets, since it used to work well before (eg. the build number in the first msg of this thread).tasmaniandevil wrote:The scrollbar has a few little quirks right now, it's on our buglist.mevla wrote:Build 6987: Zebralette: The patch browser always goes at the bottom of the patch list after choosing a patch.
