Hello, latest version of diva (vst2 and 3 are in the same package) for linux is as far as I know 6857. The way I found it is by taking a link to repro1 or others, and replace the name of the plugin with "Diva" (upper case) and the number with 6857. If you can't find it I still have the tarball.
Reporting more problems with diva on my side:
0) UI Freezes if I scroll down the patches with the "authors" menu unfolded. Every time. In VST2 and VST3.
1) the "lock" function makes a nice lock appear on top of functions. Functions are not locked, though.
2) the "favourites" icon is the same as the "junk" icon (a "no access" sign)
3) even if we have a "saved searches" menu I found no way to search things or add saved searches to the menu
However, the audio engine seems to be rock-solid. Well done! This will be a companion of my music-making for a very long time.

Scaricati/Diva_5541_Linux.tar.gz Scaricati/Diva-6857.tar.gz
Scaricati/Diva-6824.tar.gz
I don't know at all if these builds were meant to be distributed or if it was a mistake by abique (maybe the build scripts always rebuild everything?)
Abique can you clarify? (And when can we see a new build of Diva, the current one has the problems I mentioned above, and you could also add the fix for the menus on recent ubuntu releases)
thanks
Vincenzo

Hi,
I do not know about the current workload nor if the Repro problems are resolved or not. For me Repro worked reasonably well since the beginning, and at one point I stopped reading the thread here. So I'm asking if a Zebra 2.8 Linux version is in the way ... or will this wait for the 3.0 version ? Quite content with Dark Zebra right now, so I'm asking out of curiosity rather than anything else.
Since all u-he synths worked so well in Linux in the past, I would presume that the recent problems have to do with the new browser and the additional library it requires, which in turn would be a factor in every new u-he synth built for Linux from now on.
Cheers, and many thanks for all the work.

Hey, mevla. Yeah, Zebra 2.8 works really good for me!mevla wrote:... So I'm asking if a Zebra 2.8 Linux version is in the way ... or will this wait for the 3.0 version ?
Zebra 2.8 is the bottom link.abique wrote: abique wrote:
Hello,
Here is a new build:
http://uhedownloads.heckmannaudiogmb.ne ... 987.tar.gz
http://uhedownloads.heckmannaudiogmb.ne ... 987.tar.gz
It fixes the tag browser painting, and now zebra2 shows proper gradients in the wave editor.
Cheers,
Alex.

Hi Lunardigs,
Your links do not work "Server not found". And the first msg in the Zebra 2.8 thread still mentions "Linux some time later... " while the first msg in this Linux thread has Zebra 4458. The copy of abique's links you made ends in 987, so 4458 is not it.
I did a search on this thread for Zebra and soon got to 2017 msgs w/o seeing 2.8.
Why is it so difficult to find a release now ? It used to be well ordered, now it's a grab bag of sorts.
Cheers.

URLs, they'll break.
Try this:
http://uhedownloads.heckmannaudiogmb.ne ... 987.tar.gz
http://uhedownloads.heckmannaudiogmb.ne ... 987.tar.gz
This is what abique posted most recently. Both URLs work.

OK, got it - thanks. Seems to run fine. A bit of a lag in the UI when clicking on things, nothing major, perhaps slightly annoying but not by that much.
One thing: the existing favorites are scrambled and not reported as they should be. I have both Dark Zebra and this newest Zebra side-by-side with their browsers on the same soundset, same folder, and in Dark Zebra I get all my favorites flagged as they should while in the new Zebra many are missing and some became favorites automatically without my choosing.
I guess I'll continue with Dark Zebra for now and wait for 3.0 to show up. The Linux version that is.
Cheers.

I have a question for everyone and one for abique.
For everyone: I don't know what is the status of customer support for linux. I bought Diva recently and I own Bazille since the bitwig+bazille deal. Can I ask support basic things like "what is the most recent version of Diva", or "Diva has the menu bug, this is the fix, can you include it" or since it's beta for linux, we just can't?
For abique: can we get a recent build of Diva together with the others? Are you aware of the other bugs we mentioned?

Hello guys,
Here is a fix for using the plugins in Reaper.
WARNING: those builds have a few showstopper bugs. They're intended to test the GUI.

The issue was found by Justin (reaper dev), and I had to pass XCB_COPY_FROM_PARENT for the visual instead of passing the root visuals when creating the window.
Please let me know if this introduces any regression since the last build (6987).
Many thanks, and special thank you Justin

Hi Alex,
Is there a need to get these when all the synths are already working good, eg. is there anything else than a Reaper fix in those ?
Cheers.

Sometimes--and I have not looked too deeply into this, as I've been pretty busy--multiple instances of any given 'new preset browser enhanced build' will result in the preset database not being shared between all instances.
To reiterate: Open single instance of Repro-1; browse database--all is normal; open a second instance of Repro-1; browse database--no presets appear & placeholder message says 'building database' or something like this; go back to first instance--presets browser is fine.
Furthermore, remove the first instance of Repro-1 to see if the database 'lock' is released, observe the condition doesn't change in the second instance. Start another instance and get access to the db in said instance. Then open a third and observe no presets. So it's a first-to-access issue, seemingly.
Does this make sense?

For Repro-5 on Reaper in Fedora 27 ---> The VST2 version has all the GUI displayed, and massive delays happening between operations. The VST3 version started with some small delays happening between operations, and then seemed to fix itself, unfortunately the bottom part of the GUI with the effects section just cuts off and does not exist in docked or floated windows.
Great to have the working sound with the 1978 historic presets
Nearly there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS sorry to add bad news, the VST3 version crashed Reaper as soon as I pressed the 'x' close window button on the floated version.

Hi all,
First time poster. Thanks to abique and u-he for the Linux builds.
All of the modern builds of everything that I've tried that has the new patch browser crash the host that the plugin is running under when trying to save patches. I generally use Ardour (5 and 6 beta from git) or Carla (no vst3). This is happening on two machines running 64bit Arch Linux with the radeon/amdgpu Mesa driver under xmonad (or openbox for testing). The core dumps are useless. If it's any help:
