To all my fans: Thank you for all the PMs and your sympathy. I am sorry to let you down but I simply cannot accept the insults. Choosing a baby-blue color for the forum is like suggesting KVR is a kindergarten and not a serious forum. That is outrageous.

I'm sure you must be aware this is just a temporary state of affairs based on the phbb default skin - Ben has said this several times and that he will address the window dressing stuff but I'm sure there are more important priorities after such a massive upgrade such as stability, bugs etc. This is NOT the new design, it's just a stopgap.

The problem with this sort of thing is that it's been done before and sometimes in ways that just will not be surpassed. Shortly after I got here some young KVR member, maybe bothered by some apparently hurtful comments (which back then I think were more common around here), decided to poll folks and let us decide whether he should stick around or move on. I voted against his departure since folks that crazy always tend to make a place more fun for me, but unfortunately the verdict went the other way.

The world I live in allows one to sometimes just come and go and not have to make dramatic departures when a situation just doesn't seem to suit one. If only all realms were like that.

That said, for some reason I still enjoy watching others do it...
