Hi musikmachine,

hmm, I just checked the orders and all are processed. Usually this is done a few minutes after receiving the order or, depends on the time zone, within hours. Does it still show "pending"?

Let me know and I will care for this issue.

Best regards

Oddly i just got an email that says order process. It was sent at 3am so there's some delay between when the email was sent and my receiving it. Still says pending on my account though...

Hi musikmachine,

if you look into your store account it will be always "pending" because we use our own order confirmations instead of the store form.

Are you TJ Phillips? This order came in at 4.00 a.m and is processed with sending the order and payment confirmation and the included download link at 30.09.2009 09:28:03 central european time.

Hope this helps. If you are someone else then your order might not be processed, in this case please PM or send a mail to us.

Yep that's me. I 'm getting some ridiculous time lapses with my email address.
It's been going on for a few weeks now but it's getting worse.

I can pm you with another email address if that's doable but i'll check my junk mail first...

Just curious (i have no Blofeld). What if i would like to create drumkits to Blofeld? Like TR808, TR909 etc.. Could different samples in one kit be edited so that just some samples go through effects while most stays dry?
In most of cases it would not been usefull to have effects in more than just couple drumsounds at the same time.

--edit--

I think that this could be achieved -if not otherways- at least with multi setup. Adding 2-3 instances of drumkits to multi and directing those to different out BUSes. :)

Ha. Some how i found myself from this thread again and saw this post and thought: that's exactly what i'd like to know. Then realised that it was my old post. :D Obviously i'm the only one who likes to make Blofeld as classic drum machine box..

MFB even made dedicated hardware box (MFB Kult) just to bring handy little unit that gives instant access to those drums.. One might think that whats the point nowadays when most ppl. do music with software where is no practically limits with sample editing and effects.
I'd say that there is limit. CPU and stuttering being as one. My soft runs more smoothly with mediocre laptops if i outsource most sounds and use external boxes. That's why i have hardware synths. Why not sample player then?
I have used at least 6 different dedicated hardware sampler years ago and main problem was that they were BIG. Secondly only one had flash memory.. that was EPS16+ Turbo which had 1MB Flashbank on it. Not a perfect solution as those samples could not be even edited without formatting bank before saving (if i remember correctly after all this years). And it was 1MB.

Some other samplers that i had, like Yamaha A-serie had SCSI connectors and internal HD's. Still.. it took time to load / edit / save those samples. And i remember having trouble to get stuff organized well with that yamaha file system structure. Volumes, bank files, sample files etc It needed to split HD to many sections, then create several volumes insides and save each project to different volume to keep things running like they should. I don't wanna go back there.

Now, with nice size of flash ROM in Blofeld, i could make decent drumkits for whole Roland TR-x0x serie (and other classic drum machines as well!) and having instant access after power on. I have not just bought Blofeld yet.

Does anyone have done anything like this yet?
It's a question that settles whether i buy it or not.

Hi a33e,

for this demand we are offering the "Waldorf Blofeld Klonk" sample library, you find the details including the entire sample listing PDF and a audio track on the concerned product page here http://www.backintimerecords.de/bitr032.htm

Perhaps the content is not exactly that what you are looking for, but it is clearly the right direction to your purposes.

Thanks for answer. I'm listening that mp3 demo now. Though it would be nice addition to Blofeld it's not quite what i am after like you guessed.

I want to use those classic drum machine kits as i'm in to oldschool techno, acid house and similar stuff..

What i really like to see in Blofeld and how it handles multisamples is ability to edit balance of separate samples. Plus direct only some selected samples in the kit through efx.
I'm not sure if that balance thing could be done already with modulations or not. If not we just have to wait potential OS update. :)

Or i could load those drums separately to Blofeld instead of drumkit, and then create drumkit from those. In Q we had drumkit sounds that could collect separate drum sounds in to the same instrument. I have not even checked if Blofeld can do the same or not. Just bought it. :)
If not, then there is still one more option: creating multi with different single drumsound in each part and balancing those separately and with different efx levels. In that case it might be usefull to group BD's of different drum machines to same instrument, SD's to another etc.. we'll see!

Surely the Blofeld wasn't designed like those Workstations or Drum Units, so you do not have the perfect organization concept for that what you are describing. On the other hand you may have read the Klonk sample content PDF which shows that the sounds you are looking for are there, at least many of them. Maybe you can get more Blofeld handling detail infos in one of the Yahoo Blofeld groups or something like that.

In general I can recommend our Klonk as it just costs Euro 9 and can be loaded very flexible with the Blofeld thanks to the Spectre software. To my experience with the Blofeld the potential of making pretty spectacular drum and percussion parts is great.

Hi Klaus,

Regarding the example MP3 clips of the Blofeld libraries,...

Are these clips featuring ONLY the samples provided in the library OR usage examples including the samples in a patch you have created with the sample content?

Cheers,
Jason

Post

Hi Jason,

how I did the audio tracks:

- Selected a Blofeld Preset
- Loaded a new sample
- Adjusted some parameters
- Recorded the audio track

So what you hear is always a sample and how it works when loaded with the Blofeld and tweaked it with the Blofeld's filter, envelopes, etc.
