Hi guys,
I am thinking of downloading the demo (don't have time yet). I am looking for some synths to use with my Akai EWI USB. Came across SaxLab and was wondering if it is a good fit (although it doesn't appear to natively support breath control).
thanks

Wow- no response- I guess business must be booming.
I tried the demo- and thought that the BC patches would be- well- for Breath Controllers- but it doesn't respond naturally. Is there any special midi controller assignments needed to work properly with an EWI?

Hello,
I've tried SaxLab 2.0 with my EWI USB too and I think that its not a best deal in terms of accurate sax modeling with EWI. Even with BC patches and CC#2 routed to different parameters of SaxLab (try different mappings like these: http://discypus.jp/wiki/?Music%2F%B3%DA ... ontent_1_3) I've found that its not as good as "Mr. Sax T" from Samplemodeling. (watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtvmcRKsHto)
And listen to Mr. Trumpet - its stunning!
BR, Igor.
P.S. If you'll manage to get good result with SaxLab - let me know how.

I might just uninstall it- they obviously don't read their own support forum- if they don't help out potential customers with a niche need (which means we will spend the money if it works for our specific purpose)- I expect they might not help us if we were customers.

It's a new thing for me. I have always wanted to try one but the cost was to high to take the gamble. Now that the EWI USB is out (and cheap)- it is a great device to play. I have some issues on my Vista systems (hnaging notes) but it is appearing to be a Vista or HP issue. But it is new and I expect it will only get better as they release updates. I just want more good quality sounds for it as the Aria player itself doesn't give you top quality sounds (although Garritan is releasing more sounds for it eventually).
It is a blase to play with the vst from Wallender.
